This two-day intensive workshop is specifically designed for social sector leaders looking to leverage AI in meaningful, responsible ways.
The Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI) and the Hasso Plattner Institute for Design (d.school) have partnered to create a highly engaging educational program that integrates human-centered AI development with human-centered design principles.
The program aims to:
- Demystify AI and improve professionals' understanding of these tools and underlying data
- Support practitioners with scoping AI projects and initiating their AI journey
- Build a community of leaders to share best practices
- Teach participants how to ground interventions in real human needs
- Explore frameworks for fairness, accountability, and transparency in AI
- Work at the intersection of technology, design, and social impact
The workshop will include discussions led by Stanford's top AI scholars and expert field practitioners, facilitated workshop sessions, and community-building activities.
